ORIGINS OF A D-LIST SUPERVILLIAN

Jeffrey Kafer sounds droll, slightly confused, and world-weary--and thus wonderfully captures the character of Cal Stringel. Cal had no plans to become a supervillain but is left with no choice when, having resigned from his job, he finds he's been blacklisted everywhere. He's not a natural villain, and the listener is in for hours of gentle amusement as Cal finds his way, with the help of delightfully cameoed supervillains such as Hillbilly Bob and Maxine Velocity. Kafer has fun devising believable voices for them all. But, listener, be warned: The story ends on a cliff-hanger and is meant to segue straight into CONFESSIONS OF A D-LIST SUPERVILLIAN.
