Keith Szarabajka has the perfect voice for this audiobook about political assassinations. His voice is deep and scratchy, and he sounds like he's smoked a pack of cigarettes a day for the past 40 years. He reads with a conspiratorial tone, which works well for a book written by one of the most decorated CIA agents in the history of American spycraft, and the man who was the model for the film SYRIANA. The book leverages Baer's experience in the field as he analyzes the use of political killings throughout recent American history. The result is an interesting, well-narrated audiobook on a topic many people may want to avoid thinking about. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: DECEMBER 2014]
