A lifelong New Englander, Sara Sheckells grew up between an indie bookstore and an antiques shop. She earned a BS in communication from Emerson College and an MEd in education from Suffolk University.
Prior to coming to narration, Sara held long term roles in career counseling and higher education. These experiences inform her vocal style which is equal parts empathetic and authoritative. She has a fondness for magical realism, memoirs, feminist works, and any sort of stories about architectural artifacts, daring dogs, or wickedly witty witches.
Sara has narrated for publishers including Audible Studios, Dreamscape, Penguin Random House, Scholastic and Tantor.
