Ward Paxton started performing at age 15 subbing on record shows for his father on WKRS in Waukegan, Ill. and working in Chicago at WMBI and WLS/ABC, and at WHA and WIBA in Madison, WI, where he is based now. While in Chicago Ward studied theatre for three years at the Chicago Actor’s Studio with Director Ted Liss. And voice over. Lots of that. A few Addy awards. Then Ward lucked into doing more and more audiobook narrations. Ward is a multi-genre audiobook narrator, including mystery-thrillers, business, history, memoir and sports. His narration skills are augmented by a facility with several accents and a thorough knowledge of sailing gives him a specialty in nautically-themed books. He works from a professionally equipped home studio. He is member of APA and SAG-AFTRA.
