WAYLON! ONE AWESOME THING

Pennypacker pleases fans with her newest character, fourth-grader Waylon Zakowski Christopher Gebauer captures the two sides of this engaging character. An objective tone expresses Waylon's scientific bent, but Gebauer also lets listeners experience his tender side. Waylon is an empath who suffers because his older sister has gone goth and is withdrawing from their close family, continually muttering, "What's the point?" Along with his classmates, Waylon also worries about the return of a purported miscreant. Yet he manages to discover happy surprises that delight him and listeners.
