CERTAIN DARK THINGS

Pack's horror anthology provides a great deal of haunting entertainment, especially as delivered by the gifted narrator Jacob York. His deep and occasionally raspy voice--depending on the character telling the story--puts listeners in the mood to explore the many psychological, and at times tortuous, tales of retribution. With more than 20 stories, the collection runs the gamut of horror from insect infestation to monstrously transformed lovers and haunted basements. York provides a solid voice that enhances the listening experience with each. While such anthologies are best produced with alternating narrators, especially when the story protagonists vary so widely, York narrates with such compelling energy that listeners will follow him through all the evil and deadly encounters in the collection.
