The introduction states that this audio flows from Dr. Dobson's mission to help husbands and fathers serve their families and from Bauer's involvement in right wing party politics. Consistent with these credentials, the program solemnly divides child and adolescent behavior into good and bad and advises nipping every wrong turn in the bud as the only way to keep children from Gomorrah. Though this audio is well done, the authors apparently believe only men can interpret the authority of the Bible. While no one can argue that moral clarity is AWOL in today's families, their ideas about the role of women in parenting and about how people become socialized will appeal to a limited audience. T.W.
