Blaire; her famous ex, Jessie Beckett; and his best friend, Colin, comprise a hilarious love triangle, thanks to the well-matched narration of Kristin Watson-Heintz, Teddy Hamilton, and Joe Arden. Blaire--a private eye who investigates cheaters--comes across as accident prone and cute, with Watson-Heintz giving her a middle-tone voice and eye-rolling sarcasm. Hamilton makes Jessie likable with a jovial bonhomie. As Blaire discovers her renewed interest in Jessie, Colin sneaks in and steals her heart--and the listener's--as the surprising love interest. Colin has the snappiest dialogue and the most flirtatious manner, and Arden plays it perfectly. The author's signature humor as well as sympathetic characters authentically portrayed will keep listeners' interest. C.A.
