BLINDFOLD

The tranquil life of animal behaviorist/horse artist Gideon Blake is disturbed one winter's night when thugs kidnap him. Blindfolded and handcuffed, he is forced to calm a wild stallion who is a danger to everyone who approaches. After he succeeds in gaining the horse's confidence, Gideon is dropped off in the middle of nowhere. Narrator Gordon Griffin wonderfully creates the suspense as Gideon repeatedly finds himself in danger as he tries to unravel the odd event. The many interesting and threatening people he meets are enlivened by Griffin's skillful narration. This complex story should appeal to horse lovers and those who enjoy an unusual mystery. S.G.B.
