THE BLUEBONNET BATTLE

Two longtime rivals are brought to life by narrator Brittany Pressley. Matilda returns to Bonnet, Texas, to make trouble for her old enemy, Liddy. They have a turbulent past, and they clash over everything from funeral dinners to the relationship developing between Matilda's son, Nick, and Liddy's niece, Amelia. Pressley's performance brings the two women's suppressed rage to the surface. Matilda is spoiled and obnoxious, and Pressley's portrayal is convincing. Nick and Amelia are caught in the middle of the feud, and Pressley voices their mix of frustration and happiness amid their growing romance.
