ON THE WAY TO US

This performance by Abigail Reno will charm fans of small-town romances. Her narration offers two stories and is a great fit for this slower-paced novella. In one story, Mercy spends her summer serving a church in West Texas, where she meets a rugged cantina owner named Hunter. In the other story, Jasmine finds solace in a mysterious drifter named Flint. While the dynamics in each pairing have similar charm, the characters clearly have different temperaments, which Reno deftly reflects. Her narration also provides smooth transitions between the two stories. No stranger to narration, Reno has created a home in Carolyn Brown's work.
