Dara Rosenberg returns as the voice of Jewish New York for the author's third romance novel, this one with a focus on kosher law, chronic pelvic pain, and generational trauma. Avital Cohen's illness has forced her into a life of managing her family's kosher bakery, Best Babka, in Brooklyn. When Ethan is hired, it seems her life will become a little easier at last. But Ethan was sent by his tyrannical grandfather to steal the bakery's world-famous pumpkin spice babka recipe. Rosenberg's performance as kvetching Moshe Lippmann, the crotchety grandfather, is a highlight of the audiobook.
