Musashi lived by the samurai code at the turn of the seventeenth century. In his later years, he set out his philosophy on the art of winning in the form of five principles on the craft of warfare. The principles and strategies are adaptable to many different situations that have the attributes of battle, including business negotiations or decision-making situations that have an element of winning or losing. Stanley Ralph Ross's narration of this tightly compact abridgment is solid.
