The much-anticipated sequel to IN EVERY MIRROR SHE'S BLACK, this audiobook is a compelling listen that begins where the previous book ended. The story is told from the perspectives of Brittany-Rae von Lundin, voiced by Mela Lee, and Kemi Adeyemi, voiced by Dele Ogundiran. The two Black women live in Sweden, having moved there from the U.S. Palmira Koukkari Mbenga voices Yasmiin, a refugee from Somalia. All three are trying to reconcile their pasts; despite their individual challenges, the common theme of being immigrants in an unwelcoming place creates links. The women aren't friends, but they are connected. All three narrators create authentic-sounding characters and infuse their stories with a mix of sadness, anger, hope, and confidence.
