THE CASE FOR PEACE

Alan Dershowitz, of Harvard Law School, has been a prominent liberal defender of human rights for many years. Here he follows up his book THE CASE FOR ISRAEL with revised arguments, in light of Yassir Arafat's death. Now, Dershowitz believes, the time is right to advance the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Peace must be the goal, he says, and not the utopian one-state solution fringe elements on each side believe. Dershowitz is not the ideal narrator for his own book. In a high voice he rushes along too rapidly, though his passion is perceptible. Still, his ideas are thought-provoking, and his work is worth a listen.
