SACRED IS THE WIND

by | Read by Pete Bradbury

Western • 12.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1985

Pete Bradbury clearly and smoothly narrates this Western saga about the war between the Cheyenne and the white settlers who threaten to compromise their way of life. Bradbury characterizes Big Foot Wallace, a larger-than-life frontiersman; Panther Burn, a Cheyenne renegade; and Jubal Bragg, an Indian fighter. Bradbury stoically reads passages describing life in Indian country during the late 1800s and engagingly performs the dialogue. He makes the characters his own with verbal nuances. A traditional but well-written plot, based on real events that occurred between 1865 and 1895, and well-drawn characters come together with a fine performance by Bradbury.
