MEET ME IN THE ORCHARD The Paradise, Book 1

With a hint of a drawl, narrator Abigail Reno transports the listener to Texas. While Brodie Carter has been in town only a few months, he now owns an organic farm next to Audrey Ross's farm. In fact, Brodie's property used to belong to Audrey's family, and she wants it back. It doesn't help their complicated relationship that she dislikes him--but is attracted to him, too. Reno's tone starts out hostile, but as Brodie and Audrey grow closer, Reno's delivery reflects their new feelings. When she portrays Audrey's elderly aunt, Reno's voice takes on a gravelly quality.
