From the first moments of this work, it's clear to listeners that the next 7.5 hours will be a workout. The topic is weighty and often dry, and the writing invites one to jump between the business cases described by the authors and the leadership challenges facing their companies. As a result, even the most focused mind is bound to wander. Also, the book is clearly aimed at top managers seeking to find up-and-comers and is at times alienating to those who simply want to improve their leadership skills. Richard Rohan does an excellent job with the narration, though he is prone to speaking quickly even when describing complex ideas. One can learn a great deal from this text, but it is no easy listen.
