SLOW HEAT IN HEAVEN

Award-winning narrator Dick Hill breathes life into Heaven, Louisiana, the hometown Schyler Crandall has returned to in order to help her father, who has fallen ill. Carefully modulating pitch and varying the Louisiana bayou accent, Hill clearly delineates the characters, from the light voices of sisters Tricia and Schyler, who have little love for each other, to the deep Cajun-tinged accent of Cash, sultry and sensual local bad boy. Schyler's voice is filled with trepidation as she faces her father's mortality and tries to find a way to save his heavily mortgaged estate. When the dark and complex Cash offers to help, she must decide whether or not she can overlook his questionable reputation and trust him.
