This is a difficult lesson to grasp at first, and Michael Coon's vocal personality contributes to this effect by making the material sound like a legal document. But during the second hour or so the solid advice becomes so impressive that listeners will become riveted, afraid they'll miss something. The material includes information on career choices, networking, resumes, job interviews, salary negotiations, job searching, and online industry research--all tailored with consideration for specific types of job seekers. Perhaps the abridgment accounts for the truncated quality in the writing, though the density and flow of the ideas are strong. Overall, the program offers an impressive amount of information, and the obvious energy behind it may push listeners into productive job-seeking activity.
