TO KILL A WITCH

The affluent neighborhood of Monkswalk in Glasgow is the unexpected setting for this truly fascinating story of good and bad witches and warlocks. When Margaret Barclay is found murdered, Thane and Moss can hardly imagine the surreal turn their investigation will take. Narrator Jonathan Hackett gives a wide range of characters believable personalities and quirks—despite the slight datedness of this work. In one outstanding scene, we learn about an ancient tradition used on the dying when all hope is gone. Hackett's depiction of a dying man revealing his murderer is indeed moving, making the fine story even better.
