Sophie Phillips is thrust into a terrible situation when her husband, a police officer, is shot and her son goes missing. Was her husband part of a police gang implicated in a series of robberies? Or was he the cop who tipped off the media to the police involvement? Caroline Lee's poignant narration draws on Sophie's fear and her determination to take charge in searching for her son and for the truth concerning her husband.
