THE GIANT OF SEVILLE

Nothing is better for the narration of a tall tale than an even-voiced narrator who gives nothing away. Alan Nebelthau is just that narrator. As Captain Martin Van Buren Bates, a retired circus performer who is nearly eight feet tall, travels by train to Seville, Ohio, and settles into the local boardinghouse, Nebelthau relates each extraordinary detail— such as the feet that extend well beyond the bed or that floor that gives way during a square dance (or not). Nebelthau lets the listener chuckle as the enormity of this character and tale unfolds. The production concludes with the author's “historical” information on this "Eighth Wonder of the World."
