ON A WILD NIGHT

Amanda Cynster faces spinsterhood at the advanced age of 23 and takes matters into her own hands, looking for love in the gaming halls of nineteenth-century London. Partnering at cards with Martin Fulbridge leads to partnering in a licentious liaison that takes the entire book to resolve. Simon Prebble's rough and raspy voice leaves female listeners gasping with pleasure at the book's steamier scenes while providing credible characterizations throughout the bodice-ripping romance. One wants to scream, "Rip mine, Simon!" Prebble's impeccable delivery prolongs the passion, then races through the action-packed sections of the story.
