FRESH AIR Faith, Reason & Doubt

NPR journalist Terry Gross, host of the wildly popular “Fresh Air,” undertakes 15 interviews on how various religions address common human questions of faith (and faith's absence). Interviewing a range of people, Gross speaks with those for whom faith has been central (from religious scholar Karen Armstrong to the evangelistic Pastor John Hagee) as well as with Richard Dawkins, a famous atheist. She remains a well-balanced, querying figure throughout, posing precise questions in her trademark intimate style. Gross manages to remain civil and to sound merely curious even when asking Pastor Hagee about his belief that Hurricane Katrina was an act of God brought on by the city's homosexual population.
