CRUISIN' ROUTE 66 America's Main Street, Vol. 1

The energy and enthusiasm of the voice actors in this production as well as the various sites along Route 66 will encourage listeners to get in their cars and hit the road. Both a history and a travel guide, this production provides listeners with many of the rich elements that have made Route 66 an American icon, including its strange attractions, curiously themed hotels, and of course, classic road signs. Though some depictions of Native American culture seem dubious at best, the use of sound effects, a musical score, and a variety of voices to reflect the different travelers along the route makes for an enjoyable listen for young and old.
