NATCHEZ TRACE A ROAD THROUGH THE WILDERNESS

by | Read by

Contemporary Culture • 8.5 hrs. • Audio Program • © 1994

Travelers wishing to explore the Natchez Trace Parkway, which runs through Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, will be guided and informed by this production. The first tape is an introduction to the Parkway and recordings of all music used in the production. Then, side 1 of tapes 2-6 is for northbound travel and side 2 for southbound. The narrator is easy-going, with a regional accent. He relates the history of the Trace and discusses sites and side trips along the way. Original music is interspersed with the narrative. Accompanying materials include a map of the Parkway, notes on the music and a card (one side for northbound travel and one for south) listing exhibits and mileposts used as cues. A note for library use, the case’s cover is sealed, and these items cannot be slipped inside. M.A.M. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: AUG 96]
