THE BEST GUIDE TO SUCCESS is full of good advice. But it comes across more as a self-help book for the workplace than a nuts-and-bolts business book. Barbara Somervill draws on advice from the likes of Joe Girard, Dr. Stephen Covey, Tom Peters, Alvin Toffler, Robert Fulgrum, John McCormack, David Ogilvy and others. I guess a little "Chicken Soup for the Career" couldn't hurt--what the author calls "Success Think." Donna Hunter has a perky voice that mirrors the optimism of the text.
