As Eragon Shadeslayer’s quest to bring down the evil King Galbatorix comes to a close in the final book of the Inheritance Cycle, Gerard Doyle once again masterfully narrates the epic journey. Though this massive volume somewhat meanders through the significant battles in the heart of Alagaesia, Doyle never lets listeners’ interest flag. Narrating a wide variety of characters, including new dragons, most in Eldunari form, with interesting tones and accents, Doyle skillfully weaves the many parts of the Varden’s army as they come together to face Galbatorix. Listeners will be riveted as Doyle reveals monumental secrets in enthralling tones during the preparation for the ultimate showdown—which will determine the fate of all Alagaesia’s inhabitants.
