Scott Brick is such an outstanding narrator that he can draw listeners into this lightweight novel. Strong, independent FBI agent Kate O'Hare and handsome con man Nick Fox are an improbable team—but they have good chemistry. Brick's smooth, pleasing reading style gives the formulaic story humanity and suspense.The motley crew of misfits Nick assembles to go after the huge sums of money of an embezzler adds humor and interest—especially as portrayed by Brick. He also finds unique and identifiable voices for zany characters such as Kate's sister, Megan. Listeners will find the ending perfect—and a perfect setup for Kate and Nick's next adventure. S.C.A.
