Life is never dull at Alfie’s railway station, tended by his friend, Fred, and the newcomer, Hack. Susannah Harker takes great pleasure in sharing each tidbit of Alfie’s escapades. Harker’s voice shares the warmth Alfie provides when he curls up on Granny Davis’s toes or befriends the visiting children.
