CHAIRS IN THE RAFTERS

Erin Bennett's straightforward, no-nonsense narration fits this short story about friendship, love, misconceptions, and the effect, however unintended, others may have on major decisions in our lives. A young woman attends a party on a night that becomes the turning point in her life, and the basis for her leaving her husband for another man. Additional scenes, years apart, weave many of the party attendees in and out of her life. Bennett doesn't do much by way of accents or vocal differentiation, but that doesn't matter.
