When Ellis Rogers travels far into the future in his time machine, escaping marital issues and terminal illness, he stumbles upon Hollow World. In a throaty, pleasant voice, narrator Jonathan Davis vividly portrays Ellis's struggles in this extraordinary new place. It's a largely peaceful society, but following Ellis's arrival, bloodshed spreads, challenging him to protect everyone from a nearby society of hierarchy and brutality. Davis's reading of the dialogue is believable and showcases a variety of voices, and the well-paced narrative flows smoothly. Davis captures the listener from the start with his performance.
