When handsome James Fairbrother, the Marquess of Leath, discovers Nell Trim, his mother's beautiful but less-than-humble companion, skulking around in his library at three in the morning, neither of them is much impressed with the other. And both of them are determined to get to the bottom of the other’s secrets. West uses slight vocal differences to portray the lovely Nell and the Marquess’s ailing mother, and their voices are appropriate and recognizable. But it’s the enigmatic Marquess with whom he excels.
