INSIDE JOBS Tales from a Time of Quarantine

An ensemble cast cleverly captures the details of coping with COVID-19, particularly the irritations of being confined at home. Of the stories, "Crimson Parrot" is the standout as narrator Scott Aiello introduces Mafia boss Mickey "Thumbs" DeGraw, who struggles during Zoom meetings with his less technologically adept henchmen, Sal "Jughead" Vincent and "Wheels" McIlvenny. Their personalities give a hilarious look at planning a crime. In "The Cape House," narrator Kevin T. Collins deftly presents a tragic and violent glimpse of two isolated adult brothers who are sorting through their late parents' possessions. Narrator Ellen Archer shines in "Stop Motion" as gutsy JJ creates a gruesome REAR WINDOW scenario while forming a healthier relationship with her boyfriend. Each quirky tale is a first-rate listen.
