HELLO, SUMMER

Kathleen McInerney narrates a charming story that transports listeners to the sunny beaches of Florida. After a new job falls through, big-time reporter Conley Hawkins returns home to work for her sister at their family's local newspaper. Conley's sister Gray's strident voice allows listeners to easily distinguish between the two women. Conley is tasked with overseeing the local gossip column, and listeners will get a chuckle with McInerney's delivery of gossip from the elderly. The plot also involves a mystery surrounding the death of a local politician in a car crash that Conley witnesses. McInerney slips a slight Southern accent into her narration that works well.
