HOLIDAY HIDEAWAY A Short Story

Narrator Eva Kaminsky provides great character differentiation in this second-chance romance, and her energetic delivery enhances the comedic aspect of the story. Post-divorce and looking for a place to stay, rental property agent Tilly plans to spend the holidays at what she thinks is a vacant Victorian mansion. She's dismayed when the new owner, George, shows up unexpectedly to prepare the property for selling. While Tilly and her dog hide in the attic, George finds it all too easy to escape social obligations with his fiancée, a demanding socialite, while he works on the house. Is it a Christmas miracle that has brought Tilly and George together? Kaminsky's pace is excellent, and her acting range is displayed even among the small cast of characters.
