Nicholas Boulton’s rich, beautiful voice and British accent are beyond delicious—great examples of why audiobooks were invented. In 1839, Lord Winter travels to the Middle East to find String of Pearls, a fabled Arabian mare. Arriving at the palace of the late Lady Hester Stanhope, Lord Winter escapes sure death at the hands of looters with the help of a raggedy Bedouin urchin—but all is not as it seems. Boulton does every voice, male or female, magnificently, perfectly capturing Bedouin and British accents from every social strata. This is a gem of a listen.
